A Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) is a structured and documented policy that states how an organisation can quickly resume normal running after an unplanned incident such as a cyber attack. This is a critical part of a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and is applied to all aspects of the business that rely on a properly functioning IT department. A DRP is made with the aim of helping a business recover systems and resolve data loss so that the business can at least, resume mission-critical functionality in the aftermath of an incident.
